How does a piano academy adapt to a pandemic?
Founded by Sylvia Evans in 1995, Evans Piano Academy has been the first choice for Piano Lessons in Kingston, Ontario, Canada for over 25 years.
Evans Piano Academy began the process of rebranding its studio for its 25th anniversary in 2020, just as the COVID-19 lockdown hit. In addition to wanting to modernize with a website and social media presence for the first time, the studio also needed to adapt to offering virtual piano lessons during the pandemic.

THE LOGO DESIGN
I wanted to design a modern logo for Evans Piano Academy. When I was brainstorming concepts, I sat down at my piano and played a few songs to get into the mindset. As I was playing I looked at the keys and realized that when turned on their side, the black keys perfectly shape the white keys to look like an E, so I designed the logo to be exactly that - piano keys, turned on their side, with negative space to represent the black keys.

KIND WORDS FROM THE CLIENT
"My little piano studio has never looked better! Turning the letter E into Piano Keys was a genius way to represent the studio, Chris really hit the nail on the head with this concept.
Working with Chris was a delight, his great personality and constant communication was very refreshing, and the logo he designed was a perfect way to modernize our studio.
Chris has continued working with us to create updated brochures, business cards and signage for our studio as well. I would gladly recommend working with Chris if you're a small business owner, because he knows how to make a small business feel like a big one."
