TWO PINES DAIRY
A local, family-run dairy farm in Upstate New York, Two Pines Dairy produces high-quality and all-natural milk, cheese and butter for their consumers through traditional farming practices, and caring for their herd. The result - wholesome farm-to-table dairy products that can't be beat.
THE LOGO DESIGN
The owner and lead farm-hand, Whit, asked me if I could design a logo that was "simple, but not generic", so I wanted to avoid any cliché's when it came to the logomark, that meant no cows, or anything that resembled milk.
I wanted to play into the name "Two Pines" by creating a logomark of two pine trees, in a unique abstract shape. I paired the logomark with a rustic, country-inspired typeface, to capture the farm and country feel of the business.

THE BRAND IDENTITY
I created five variants of the logo, the stacked vertical lock up with the logomark and the brands full name, along with a horizontal version with just the logomark and the words "Two Pines" to best be used in situations like their website, and packaging tape for shipping products.
I also created a badge logo that adds curved lines underneath the pine trees to represent the rolling hills of a farm, as well as the logomark which is simply the trees with the rolling hills enclosed by a circle border.
The fifth variant is an additional badge logo designed only for special use cases. This version encloses the name "Two Pines" in a curved ribbon, with grass growing on top. In the distance behind the ribbon are the two pine trees, along with an alternate design of rolling hills to showcase a landscape of a farm.
For the brand colours I chose a deep blue, and paired it with an off-white, to have a colour palette that can be associated with milk and dairy products upon first glance.
